GAZA – On Thursday, Hamas personnel asserted
that there will be no prisoner exchange deals unless there is a complete
cessation of aggression on the Gaza Strip, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

"The main
entry point for discussion is a comprehensive ceasefire and the withdrawal of
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) from the Gaza Strip,” said a Hamas source.
This comes after suggestions of another
potential ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and Hamas for a new
ceasefire, following the previous one in late November that allowed a prisoner
exchange and the introduction of humanitarian aid to the strip.
Additionally, the chairman of Hamas's
political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, arrived in Cairo "to hold talks with
Egyptian officials about the developments of the Zionist aggression.”
According to the Hamas source, “this
discussion includes various proposals and ideas for a temporary ceasefire in
exchange for the release of 40 non-military Israeli captives held by Hamas
"This ceasefire can be renewed after
establishing new standards for the exchange," noting that these
"ideas were discussed in Israeli-Qatari talks with the US administration’s
knowledge."
However, Israel rejects any talks of a
ceasefire before "eliminating" Hamas. "We will not stop fighting
until... we eliminate Hamas, release the hostages it holds, and put an end to
the threat coming from Gaza," said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
stated, "anyone who thinks we will stop is detached from reality."
Dozens of Palestinians, including children and
women, have been killed and injured since Thursday morning. The IOF have
destroyed homes, buildings, residential apartments, public and private
properties by the masses for 76 days.
Currently, local sources reported that Israeli
bombardment on the Jabalia area in northern Gaza has left many Palestinians
killed and injured.
The heavy siege on the north has rendered medical aid helpless. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that the
Israeli occupation forces are still besieging the Jabalia ambulance center,
endangering the safety of 127 Palestinians, including medical personnel and 22
wounded. While the Civil Defense reported that its team was unable to reach the
deceased and wounded due to intense Israeli shelling.
As for the south, 55 Palestinians were killed
by airstrikes on the homes in Khan Yunis. While Rafah was heavily shelled by
the IOF’s navy, also killing and injured dozens of innocent civilians.
The occupation forces also continue to
completely cut off communication and internet services in the Gaza Strip for
the second consecutive day.
The death toll in the strip is estimated to
have risen to at least 20,000 since Oct. 7, including 8,000 children and 6,200
women, while the number of injured civilians reached 52,600.
