He said in a statement broadcast by Al-Aqsa TV, affiliated
with Hamas; "There is no migration from the West Bank, nor from Gaza, and
I say there is no
migration from Gaza to Egypt. I salute our brothers in Egypt,
and I say to my brothers in Egypt that our decision is to stay in our land, and
your decision is our decision."
He mentioned that "the people of Gaza are deeply rooted
in their land and are determined to remain in their homeland and will not leave
their land."
He also stated that Hamas "does not target
civilian populations, neither the elderly nor the children," adding, "Hamas
cannot be deterred by the misleading Israeli media narrative."
Haniyeh pledged to "continue the struggle until we have
a state, our prisoners are released, our sanctities are liberated, and our
displaced people return to their homes.
