Houthis release video of 'Galaxy Leader' cargo ship seizure

SANA’A – Video footage released by Yemen-based Houthi group on Monday depicts a small helicopter landing on the “Galaxy Leader” cargo ship. اضافة اعلان

Subsequently, armed men take control of the ship's bridge, while workers are seen holding their hands behind their heads, Al Jazeera reported.

In a wider shot provided by the group, numerous speedboats bearing Palestinian and Yemeni flags surround the ship. These flags are also shown flying on the cargo ship itself following the takeover.

Approximately 25 individuals were believed to be on board the ship, which was subsequently taken to the coast of Yemen. The Houthis claim the ship is Israeli, but Israel asserts that it is a British-owned and Japanese-operated cargo vessel with no Israeli nationals on board.
