Al Mezan Center for Human Rights has strongly condemned the use of excessive and lethal force by the Israeli occupying forces against Palestinian citizens without regard for the norms and principles of international law.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the center noted that the Israeli occupying forces killed one person and injured 14 others yesterday evening, after they opened machine-gun fire and deployed a large number of tear gas canisters at hundreds of Palestinians who were demonstrating near the eastern separation fence in the
Gaza Strip.
Al Mezan Center called on the international community to move from condemnation towards active intervention, including to call for an end to Israeli violations, protect civilians, ensure respect for the norms of international law, promote justice in the occupied
Palestinian territories, end the siege and enable the Palestinian people to use their right to self-determination.
