Hebrew media indicated that hundreds of settlers, accompanied by Knesset member Tzvi Sukkot and the head of the Settlements Council in the northern West Bank, Yossi Dagan, stormed the tomb and performed Talmudic prayers.
A large number of Israeli occupation forces, along with several military bulldozers, had entered the eastern area of Nablus prior to the settlers’ arrival. They deployed on the rooftops of buildings surrounding the site and bulldozed nearby roads in preparation for the incursion.
