GAZA — On Friday, residents of
central and southern Gaza returned to inspect their homes as the temporary humanitarian
truce began. News agencies reported that starting at 7 am and lasting four
days, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in shelter centers across the Gaza
Strip headed home to check on family members.

During the war's previous days, Palestinians
faced challenges communicating with family due to weak signals and restricted
movement, particularly between cities and border areas near Israeli incursions,
Al-Ghad reported.
Displaced Palestinians in the northern Gaza
Strip risk losing their homes, while those in the south are advised against
returning to the north by the Israeli army, which issued a warning on Friday
morning.
