GAZA – On Monday, the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, reported
that the
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) withdrew several divisions from the
Gaza Strip, and transferred the Duvdevan special unit from the Strip to the
West Bank in anticipation of escalation there.

According to the newspaper, IOF officials have described the
situation in the West Bank as “being on the brink of explosion.”
As for withdrawn divisions, Israel Hayom, another Israeli
news source, reported that the IOF pulled out their 36th Division, which
includes the Golani Brigade, the Sixth, Seventh, 188th, and Engineering Corps.
Three brigades (99, 162, and 98) remain in Gaza.
