Al-Ghad reported that the IOF barred young men from entering the mosque for prayer while allowing women and those over 40 to enter.
Hebrew media outlets reported that the IOF deployed a large number of police forces around Al-Aqsa Mosque, fearing "violent disturbances" as the month of Ramadan begins.
Al-Aqsa Mosque, located in occupied East Jerusalem, is considered the third holiest site in Islam. It is often a point of clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians, making it a major flashpoint in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.
