According to a correspondent from the official news agency, Wafa, the Israeli forces deployed heavy "D10" bulldozers to the camp this morning and began the process of demolishing homes and destroying the surrounding structures, starting from the area around the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque, amid intensive low-flying reconnaissance aircraft.
This escalation followed a notice issued by the Israeli authorities five days earlier, informing the residents of the demolition of 11 homes under the pretext of constructing a road starting from the camp square towards the Al-Mansheya neighborhood. The homes belong to the families of Yusuf, Jibali, Mar'i, Abu Shlbaia, Irani, Shihab, Yunis, and Ghannam.
On the second day after the notice, the Israeli forces gave the targeted homeowners only three hours to enter the camp and evacuate their belongings from their homes.
Meanwhile, the Israeli forces continued to raid homes in the Jabal Al-Nasr neighborhood, following up on the raids they carried out the previous night, forcing the residents to leave their homes under duress. They were given only minutes to vacate, while the forces fired live ammunition and sound bombs to terrorize and intimidate them.
Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression, now on its 21st consecutive day, there has been a large displacement movement within the camp, with women, children, the elderly, and the sick fleeing. This displacement concentrated in the Al-Mansheya, Al-Mas'akh, Jabal Al-Nasr, and Al-Salihyeen neighborhoods, with over 5,500 displaced people heading to shelters and the homes of relatives in Tulkarm city, its suburbs, and surrounding villages.
This escalation is part of the continued aggression on the city and its refugee camps, now in its 33rd consecutive day. The Israeli forces have reinforced their military presence with large numbers of vehicles, bulldozers, and infantry units, imposing a siege on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, while occupying several residential buildings and turning them into military posts.
