Indonesia raises UNRWA share to $1.2 million
Amman - Indonesia said Monday it will increase its funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to $1.2 million.اضافة اعلان

The official Antara News Agency, quoting a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, said the government announced through UN ambassador Arrmanatha Nasir at an UNRWA pledging conference held at UN headquarters in New York on Friday, that it is raising its annual share to the refugee agency to $1.2 million, starting in 2024.

It also announced a grant of $2 million in response to the UNRWA Flash Appeal for the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt), covering the period April – December 2024.

The envoy said Indonesia also committed to seeking innovative funding for UNRWA, including engaging the Indonesian society through partnerships with zakat (alms) management institutions.
