The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that Israeli forces entered Al-Khader and stationed themselves in the "Tell" area of the Old Town. The forces then attacked schoolchildren as they made their way to school, using sound bombs and tear gas, resulting in several students suffering from suffocation.
Recently, Israeli forces have escalated their attacks on students in Al-Khader, using tear gas, sound bombs, chasing them, and detaining a number of them.
Additionally, Israeli forces carried out a wide-scale raid and arrest campaign in various parts of the occupied West Bank today, as military operations intensify in refugee camps, particularly in the Tulkarem and Jenin governorates, where the escalation has now entered its third month.
During the raids, Israeli forces stormed dozens of Palestinian homes, ransacked their contents, and subjected the residents to field interrogations, holding them for long hours. Armed clashes broke out in several areas, resulting in injuries among Palestinians.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that Israeli forces arrested 19 Palestinians, including former prisoners, and transferred them for interrogation on charges related to resistance activities against the occupation.
Meanwhile, Israeli bulldozers demolished five homes in the Ras area of the town of Idna, west of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
According to the Idna Municipality, the Israeli bulldozers demolished two homes belonging to brothers Eid and Khalil Na'im Al-Jaiwi, which were apartment units covering 300 square meters and housing eight people. The demolition also included two homes belonging to brothers Mohammed and Osama Yusuf Al-Jaiwi, each covering 150 square meters, as well as an under-construction home belonging to resident Nidal Al-Jaiwi.
Israeli forces have increased the demolitions of Palestinian homes under the pretext of building in Area C, aiming to seize land for the expansion of Israeli settlements.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in the Palestinian Authority, Israeli authorities carried out 58 demolitions in March, targeting 87 structures, including 39 inhabited homes, 6 uninhabited homes, 26 agricultural structures, and others. The demolitions were concentrated in the Nablus governorate with 15 structures demolished, followed by Tulkarem with 13 structures, Jerusalem with 19, and Salfit with 15.
