A statement by the club indicated that the Israeli occupation prisons administration "summoned additional forces in several prisons," according to Palestinian News & Information Agency-WAFA.
For its part, the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission stated, “Emergency developments occurred in the occupation prisons today, and large numbers of repression units were put on entrances of many prisons. Also, prison administration and its intelligence moved intensely among prison departments, using unprecedented numbers of police dogs near the entrances to the departments.”
The head of the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission, Qadri Abu Bakr, said there is a "semi-rebellion" inside Israeli prisons after the "repressive policies" pursued by the prison administration against detainees.
The procedures followed by the Israeli Prisons Administration began since the escape of 6 Palestinian prisoners from Gilboa prison, but were later re-arrested, according to Abu Bakr.
