Israel, Hamas extend truce

TEL AVIV — On Thursday morning, Israel's military announced the extension of the truce with Hamas for a seventh day, as reported by Al-Jazeera. اضافة اعلان

The decision is based on ongoing mediation efforts to facilitate hostage release and is contingent upon the terms of the agreement. 

Hamas has also confirmed this extension in a separate statement. 

Early reports on Thursday suggested the extension was in question as the two sides failed to agree on the new list of Israelis to be released from Gaza.
