In a statement, the Kafr ad-Dik Municipal Council said that Israeli forces raided the town, stormed two houses, and ordered their immediate evacuation in preparation for demolition within two days.

According to the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities carried out 76 demolitions in January, affecting 126 structures. These included 74 inhabited homes, 4 uninhabited ones, and 29 agricultural facilities, among others. Additionally, 131 other structures were served with demolition notices.

Meanwhile, Jewish extremist settlers assaulted a Palestinian family in Khirbet al-Farisiyah in the northern Jordan Valley on Thursday.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that a group of settlers raided homes in Khirbet al-Farisiyah, attacked a Palestinian family, and terrorized them before withdrawing.

The commission noted that the family has been subjected to ongoing harassment by settlers for months, including physical assaults, restrictions on grazing livestock, and repeated home invasions. It also pointed out that settlers set up a makeshift shelter just meters away from the family's homes about a week ago, making their presence in the area almost permanent.

The commission documented 375 settler attacks in January 2025, with most occurring in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorates (105 incidents), followed by Nablus (76), Hebron (55), and Qalqilya (31). Settlers carried out 318 acts of vandalism and theft targeting Palestinian-owned properties, affecting vast tracts of land and leading to the uprooting of 969 trees—960 of which were olive trees. The attacks included the destruction of 350 olive trees in Hebron, 328 in Bethlehem, 160 in Salfit, 100 in Nablus, and 31 in Ramallah.
