Netanyahu threatened Al-Arouri after Hamas claimed responsibility for the Hawara operation back in February of 2023, which killed a number of Israeli settlers. Netanyahu stated, “It is not a coincidence that he is hiding… he will pay the full price,” reported local news outlets.
Hamas, however, responded to threats, describing them as “ridiculous” and “hollow”.
They stated that it “will not succeed in weakening the resistance, and the confused Zionist enemy must realize that any interference with the leadership of the resistance will be faced with strength and determination.”
