Israel closes checkpoints surrounding Jerusalem

OCCUPIED EAST JERUSALEM — On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces closed all military checkpoints surrounding the city of Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian News and Information Agency “Wafa”.اضافة اعلان

 The official agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying, “The occupation forces closed the Qalandiya checkpoints, the Shuafat camp, Beit Iksa, and Al-Za’im, and completely prevented movement to and from Jerusalem.”

Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinians have become stranded due to the closure of checkpoints, according to witnesses who said that there was a "traffic crisis at all entrances leading to Jerusalem."

 Likewise, the Israeli occupation authorities closed the Karama crossing completely, in both directions, until further notice, according to Wafa.
