Over the
past week, Al-Quds Hospital has faced unprecedented attacks in its vicinity. On
Monday, an Israeli surveillance drone launched a missile at the hospital's
reception and emergency entrance, causing substantial damage to the facility
and injuring an ambulance crew member. The Israeli military also fired live
rounds that penetrated the hospital's sixth floor, resulting in injuries to two
displaced individuals.
A lack of clarity regarding the
international community's response
Speaking
about the dire situation, spokesperson Raed Al-Nims expressed, "We
maintain the supplies available to us, which may deplete at any moment. There
are many hospitals, approximately 17, facing fuel shortages and ceasing
operations. We hope that fuel will be provided promptly, enabling us to deliver
essential health services to the wounded."
“We hope for
a permanent opening of the crossings to facilitate the uninterrupted flow of
vital humanitarian and medical assistance in response to the significant needs
of the afflicted in the region,” he added.
