Israel refuses to allow foreign press into Gaza

TEL AVIV — Israel has refused requests from foreign journalists to enter the Gaza Strip during the humanitarian pause unless they are escorted by the Israeli army, according to Hebrew Channel 12.اضافة اعلان

It added, on Friday, that a similar request was made to the Egyptian authorities to enter through the Rafah crossing, but the request has not been approved yet.

Israel fears that Hamas will exploit the cessation of fighting to allow the foreign journalist to find for themselves the extent of the destruction in Gaza and pressure Western governments to stop the resumption of fighting, according to the news network.
