New York - The United Nations has again warned that the tightening siege imposed by the Israeli occupation on Jabaliya and northern Gaza is life-threatening.

In a statement on Saturday, the Humanitarian Coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory, Muhannad Hadi, noted that Al-Awda and Indonesian hospitals, two of the three remaining hospitals in northern Gaza, were directly hit today amid intensified hostilities.
Hadi said that these attacks have exacerbated the alarming humanitarian crisis in northern Gaza, noting that in the past two weeks, the Israeli occupation forces intensified their pressure on these hospitals to evacuate them, but patients had nowhere else to go.
The UN official said that the Adwan Hospital, which treats two-thirds of the patients, is suffering from a severe shortage of beds, medicines, medical supplies and fuel, explaining that "yesterday the urgent request by the United Nations for access to northern Gaza to help rescue dozens of wounded trapped under the rubble by Israeli forces was not met."
