TEL AVIV — Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated unequivocally that his government will resume hostilities
in its ongoing war against the Gaza Strip once the "hostage recovery
phase" is concluded. He underscored that this issue is settled, and the
stated objectives of Israel's war on Gaza "remain unchanged."

Netanyahu's remarks were part of a video
released by his office during the sixth day of the humanitarian ceasefire in
Gaza. Concurrently, there were discussions in Doha about a potential new
agreement. This agreement would involve releasing all
detainees in Gaza in
exchange for the liberation of Palestinian prisoners accused of killing
Israelis, Quds Press reported.
Since the commencement of the war, Netanyahu
outlined three goals: the elimination of Hamas, the repatriation of all Israeli
hostages in Gaza, and ensuring that Gaza does not pose a threat to Israel
again. He emphasized that these objectives are still in force. Despite
achieving a significant milestone in the past week – the return of dozens of
hostages – Netanyahu asserted Israel's readiness to return to combat after
completing the hostage recovery phase. He stated that it is impossible not to
resume fighting until the end.
The release of 86 prisoners from Gaza,
including 66 Israelis, out of approximately 235 initially considered alive,
took place. Most of them were captured on October 7.
