AMMAN — The Palestinian Authority’s (PA) deputy governor of occupied East Jerusalem, Abdullah Siam, said on Sunday that Israel is inching closer to creating new facts on the ground by intensifying incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Siam said that Israel is adopting a series of measures in the occupied eastern part of Jerusalem aimed at “uprooting its Palestinian residents and replacing them with settlers”.

“The occupation sees itself within striking distance of realizing its most dangerous plan of dividing Al-Aqsa Mosque, both spatially and temporally, and threatening the Dome of the Rock,” according to Siam.

He said that settlers’ incursions are done under the protection of dozens of soldiers, and that the most painful scenes are those in which Palestinian worshipers are arrested, before and during the incursions, which disturbs the spiritual atmosphere of the mosque.

Israel simply ignores international resolutions and acts with impunity because it knows that it will never be held to account, Siam stressed.

Jordan on Sunday condemned the ongoing Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, the latest of which was allowing extremist settlers and a Knesset member to storm the complex, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
