The Israeli forces have deployed large reinforcements, including bulldozers and vehicles, to the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, spreading throughout various neighborhoods and imposing strict measures on the movement of citizens and vehicles.
In Tulkarem camp, Israeli soldiers spread through the Al-Matar neighborhood, removing doors from several homes and conducting extensive searches. This coincided with the continued displacement of residents from the Al-Hadida and Al-Rabayia neighborhoods after they were forcibly expelled from their homes by the Israeli forces under threats and intimidation.
Recently, Tulkarem camp has witnessed a wave of displacement from the neighborhoods on the outskirts of the camp, amid ongoing aggressive operations and the tightening of the siege on residents, particularly in the Al-Hadida, Al-Matar, Al-Rabayia, Qaqoon, and Marba’a Hanoon neighborhoods.
In the Nur Shams refugee camp, the occupation reinforced its military presence by sending bulldozers and vehicles to Jabal Al-Nasr, while the camp continues to endure a tight siege. The Israeli forces have seized dozens of homes and turned them into military barracks after forcibly expelling their residents.
The ongoing escalation by the Israeli forces in the city of Tulkarem and its refugee camps has led to the martyrdom of 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and arrested, and more than 4,000 families have been forcibly displaced from the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, in addition to dozens of families from the northern neighborhood of the city.
The aggression has also caused widespread destruction of infrastructure, vehicles, homes, and businesses, which were subjected to total and partial demolitions, arson, looting, and vandalism. In the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, 396 homes were completely destroyed, and 2,573 were partially damaged. Additionally, the entrances and alleys of these camps were blocked by dirt berms.
