Israeli occupation forces notified on Tuesday night of their intention to demolish 11 homes in the Nur Shams refugee camp, located east of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the Israeli authorities plan to demolish these homes under the pretext of constructing a road starting from the camp's square towards the Al-Manshieh neighborhood. The homes belong to the families of Youssef, Jabali, Marai, Abu Shlbiyeh, Irani, Shahab, Younis, and Ghanam.
The sources added that the owners of the targeted homes were given a deadline to evacuate their homes and remove basic belongings between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Wednesday.
This marks the 18th day of the Israeli occupation's assault on Nur Shams Camp, during which occupation forces have been carrying out repeated raids on homes, blowing up doors, forcibly displacing residents under threat of violence, and turning the buildings into military outposts.
The camp has suffered widespread destruction, with homes, commercial properties, and infrastructure being demolished, blown up, or burned. This has exacerbated the suffering of Palestinians who remained in their homes, enduring tight siege conditions and a shortage of essential supplies such as food, water, medicine, and infant formula.
In recent days, a large number of residents, including women, children, the elderly, and the sick, have fled the camp, with more than 5,000 displaced, mainly from the Al-Maslokh, Al-Manshieh, Al-Jabali al-Salihim, and Al-Nasr neighborhoods.
The Israeli occupation also continues its assault on the city of Tulkarem and the Tulkarem Refugee Camp, which has been ongoing for over a month.
