On Monday, Israeli occupation forces targeted Palestinians and their homes in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, and in the southwestern areas of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Al-Zaytoun and at Al-Awda roundabout in central Rafah, causing residential buildings to catch fire. No injuries or arrests have been reported.
Meanwhile, Palestinian homes in Al-Farahin neighborhood, in the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Younis, were subjected to heavy gunfire from Israeli forces.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has waged a genocidal war on Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 48,339 Palestinians—most of them children and women—and the injury of 111,753 others. These numbers are not final, as many victims remain trapped under the rubble, with rescue and civil defense teams unable to reach them.
It is worth noting that a ceasefire in Gaza took effect on January 19. However, since its implementation, several Palestinians have been killed and injured in different areas across the Strip.
