TEL AVIV – The Israeli newspaper, Haaretz,
criticized
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the eve of the 100th
day of the war on Gaza, describing him as a “multifaceted master of failure.”
The criticism extends to his performance in security, diplomacy, and the
economy.

According to the newspaper, after these prolonged days of
conflict, the government’s priority should be the return of Israeli prisoners
from Gaza, even at the expense of a
ceasefire and the overthrow of Hamas, Khaberni
reported.
Haaretz emphasizes that the Israeli military remains
entrenched in Gaza, and changing their terminology in the media does not alter
this reality.
Fully achieving the war’s objectives seems impossible due to
the lack of domestic public support and international diplomatic credit,
compounded by an ineffective government led by a failed and deceptive leader.
The newspaper attributes the
military’s hesitation in Gaza to the performance of the Israeli Chief of Staff and his subordinates, who are
caught between political incompetence and a deteriorating international credit
line.
As we approach the 100th day, both the military and
political horizons remain murky, following the rule of war: “When hesitation
begins, despair grows.”
