Jerusalem schoolchildren to march in protest of Jesus statue vandalism

AMMAN — In protest of the vandalism of a statue of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem’s Old City, Catholic schoolchildren will march along the Via Dolorosa on Friday morning wearing scarves with images of the statue’s desecrated face, the Times of Israel reported.اضافة اعلان

Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa will join the march at the seventh station of the Way of the Cross.

On February 3, a Jewish American man tore down astatue of Jesus in the Church of the Flagellation, at the first station of the Via Dolorosa. He was arrested following this act.
