The Jerusalem
Islamic Waqf said that successive groups of settlers had stormed the Al-Aqsa
Mosque since the morning, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and
performed Talmudic rituals.
Israel has continued
to restrict the entry of worshippers from Jerusalem and the occupied side of
the mosque, and withheld the ID cards of some of them before allowing them to
enter the mosque.
Activists and
Jerusalemites called on members of the public to take to the streets to counter
the threats posed by the settlers and Israeli occupation forces. The so-called
“Temple Groups” are planning large-scale storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the
Jewish festival of Hanukkah, which is marked on December 18.
