Joint Arab-Islamic Summit committee meets with Spanish FM

BARCELONA – Members of the Ministerial Committee assigned by the Unusual Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, Jose Manuel Albares in Barcelona on Monday. اضافة اعلان

During the meeting, they discussed the developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, and the achievements of the humanitarian ceasefire in releasing some prisoners and their return to their families. In addition, they discussed the efforts to sustainably stop the ceasefire, ending the violence and conflict that has lasted, and contributing to opening safe passages for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.



The meeting also addressed the efforts to launch an effective international movement to stop the war and the humanitarian disaster it produces, in addition to committing to protecting civilians and ensuring the application of international and humanitarian law.

The members of the ministerial committee emphasized the importance of the entire international community taking effective measures to ensure the implementation of international decisions regarding the Palestinian issue, ensuring accountability for the Israeli occupation's continued violations of international law and humanitarian law.

They reiterated their call for the resumption of the just, permanent, and comprehensive peace process by implementing international decisions related to the two-state solution. They emphasized enabling the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights in establishing an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with its capital in East Jerusalem.

The committee members renewed their demand for the international community to fulfill its responsibility by rejecting all forms of selectivity in applying international legal and ethical standards. They called for the protection of the Palestinian people from the crimes committed by the occupation forces and settler militias against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

The meeting was chaired by Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and included the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, Riyad al-Maliki, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
