Jordan will host a meeting on Sunday with neighboring countries of Syria to discuss practical mechanisms for cooperation in combating terrorism, drug and arms smuggling, and addressing other shared challenges.

In a previous press statement, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sufyan Al-Qudah, stated that the meeting will focus on ways to support the Syrian people in their efforts to rebuild their country on the foundations that ensure its unity, sovereignty, security, and stability. The meeting will also address the need to eliminate terrorism, ensure conditions for the voluntary return of refugees, and safeguard the rights of all Syrians.
Ambassador Al-Qudah further mentioned that the meeting will be attended by foreign ministers, defense ministers, chiefs of staff, and intelligence heads from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkey, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Republic of Iraq, and the Lebanese Republic.
