Medical sources reported that journalists
Saeed Atawil and Mohammad Sabeh were killed while covering the evacuation of
the Hajj building that the occupation threatened to target, Al Ghad reported.
Eyewitnesses stated that while covering the
event, about 150 meters from the building that was about to be targeted, a
group of journalists and citizens had gathered to monitor the
bombing and capture images, when everyone was shocked by the Israeli aircraft’s strike on
the gathering.
The Government Media Office mourned their
colleagues, journalists Saeed Atawil and Mohammad Sabeh. Meanwhile, they wished
speedy recovery and full safety for their colleague Hisham Al-Nawajha, who was
present with them and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Media Office Director Salama Ma’rouf affirmed
that the Israeli occupation’s crime against the two journalists was a
premeditated and deliberate assassination, as they were wearing safety gear and
distinctive markings as journalists, which was easily visible to the
occupation’s aircraft.
