King Abdullah and Iraqi President Barham Salih, during a meeting in Baghdad on Saturday, discussed means of bolstering bilateral cooperation.

The two leaders expressed pride in the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples, according to a statement from the
Royal Court.
King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Iraq’s government and people, lauding the country’s success in hosting the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
His Majesty also underscored Iraq’s central role in the region, noting that the conference is in line with Iraqi efforts to enhance regional cooperation to bolster stability and prosperity.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni attended the meeting.
