Latin Patriarchate rejects Israeli request to evacuate Gaza church

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM – Sources from the Latin Patriarchate in Jerusalem have confirmed that the Israeli occupation army requested the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to evacuate refugee families from the Latin Church in Gaza.اضافة اعلان

According to Al-Mamlaka TV, the source said that the patriarch rejected the Israeli military order, explaining that the decision to leave the church is in the hands of the refugee families there.

According to a statement, the families refused to leave and insisted on staying in the church because both leaving and staying are unsafe. They preferred to die in the church rather than on the street.

A mother and her daughter were killed, and 7 others were injured in the Holy Family Church in Gaza, targeted by an Israeli sniper on Saturday.
