WASHINGTON – Leaked reports published on Thursday suggest that the Biden
administration is “working vigorously with other countries in the
Middle East to formulate a plan for establishing a Palestinian state,” causing a stir in
the occupied state, Quds Press reported.

The US newspaper the Washington Post reported that the
Biden administration,
along with a small group of partners in the Middle East, is accelerating the
completion of a detailed and comprehensive plan to achieve long-term peace
between Israel and Palestine. This plan includes a strict timeline for the
establishment of a Palestinian state, which could be announced in the coming
weeks.
Furthermore, negotiations between the US, Qatar, and Egypt seek a cease-fire
and the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza.
The initial ceasefire, which is likely to last at least six weeks, will
allow time to announce the proposal, get additional backing, and take the first
steps toward its implementation. According to US and
Arab officials, this will
include the creation of a temporary Palestinian government.
The parties involved are seeking to achieve an agreement before
Ramadan,
which begins on March 10, out of concern that it may worsen and heighten
tensions in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli right-wing ministers Avigdor Lieberman,
Itamar Ben-Gvir,
and Bezalel Smotrich announced their categorical opposition to the
establishment of a Palestinian state.
“1,400 people were killed, and the world wants to grant them a state. It
won’t happen!”
Ben-Gvir posted on X.
As for Smotrich, he posted on X, “Under no circumstances will we agree to
this plan, which essentially claims that the Palestinians deserve a reward for
the terrible massacre they committed against us: a Palestinian state with its
capital in Jerusalem.”
Furthermore, Lieberman announced that he will request that the State
Security Cabinet oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state.
“Today, during the political and security cabinet meeting, I will demand a
clear decision that unequivocally states Israel’s opposition to the
establishment of a Palestinian state,” he stated.
Lieberman expects clear support from Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu,
Defense Minister Benny Gantz, and all other ministers.
