AMMAN — On Friday, Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Najib Mikati signed a government formation decree after Saad Al Hariri’s incapability to carry
out the task, according to Al-Ghad daily.

After more than a year of economic turmoil, the Lebanese presidency is working on getting back on track, announcing that “President Michel Aoun and the Prime Minister Najib Mikati signed the new government decree in the presence of the Parliament President Nabih Berri.”
The new government includes :
Walid Fayyad, Minister of Energy.
Abdallah Bouhabib, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Henri Khoury as Minister of Justice.
Bassam Mawlawi, Minister of Interior.
Youssef Khalil, Minister of Finance.
Firas Al-Abyad as Minister of Health.
Johnny Corm for the Ministry of Communications.
Brigadier General Maurice Selim, Minister of Defense.
Walid Nassar, Minister of Tourism, and His Excellency Al-Shami, Deputy Prime Minister to name a few.
On August 10, 2020, Hasan Diab resigned after the Beirut explosion, which occurred six days prior on August 4, 2020, and Mustafa Adeeb was appointed to form the government.
After Diab’s resignation, Prime Minister Saed Hariri stepped down six months after his appointment.
