The Lebanese Army announced on Sunday evening that two Lebanese citizens were killed after Israel targeted an agricultural bulldozer during land reclamation work in the town of Zibqin (Southern Lebanon). The Lebanese military also denied Israeli claims that there were military equipment belonging to "Hezbollah" in the area.

In a statement, the Lebanese Army said: "As part of the repeated Israeli aggressions, a bulldozer and an excavator were targeted during land reclamation works near the town of Zibqin in the Tyre District, which led to the martyrdom of two citizens."
The army confirmed that "no military equipment was found at the site."
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on "X" (formerly Twitter), "The Israeli Air Force targeted two Hezbollah operatives working with an engineering vehicle in the Zibqin area."
He added that "the two operatives were targeted while attempting to rebuild infrastructure for Hezbollah," according to his claims.
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an aggression on Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war by September 23, 2024, resulting in over 4,000 deaths and around 17,000 injuries, in addition to the displacement of approximately 1.4 million people.
Israel failed to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by the February 18 deadline, as per the agreement, conducting only a partial withdrawal while maintaining occupation of five key hills within areas it occupied during the recent conflict.
As of Sunday, Israel had violated the ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect since November 27, 2024, at least 1,385 times, resulting in 119 deaths and at least 366 injuries, according to Anadolu's count based on official data.
Israel has occupied territories in Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria for decades, refusing to withdraw and opposing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders prior to the 1967 war.
