– On Tuesday, The
Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, announced that his
country does not recognize the decisions of any nation, including the United

nations supporting the Palestinian resistance movement. Meanwhile, he stated
that Malaysia does not classify Hamas as
a "terrorist organization."

Ibrahim's
statement came during a parliamentary response on November 7, regarding
Malaysia's stance on the recent decision by the US House of Representatives to
pass the "
International Financing of Hamas Act," which imposes
sanctions on foreign entities supporting Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic
Jihad, Khaberni reported.
“First and foremost, we do not agree
with the way the United States has acted.
Secondly, this will not affect our
policies and decisions," - PM
He also
asserted, "Malaysia does not consider Hamas a terrorist group,"
drawing a
logical comparison between Hamas's resistance and the struggle of
former South African President Nelson Mandela under apartheid.
He further
emphasized that Malaysia does not recognize the Rome Statute, preventing it
from taking this issue to the International Court of Justice, its stance is
clear: they will support any nation, including Palestine, in addressing
colonization, tyranny, and repression against the Palestinian people.
