OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — The Palestinian Red Crescent reported 53 people were injured in Jerusalem Saturday in renewed clashes a day after violence rocked the Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
The injuries followed confrontations that erupted around the Old City of Jerusalem and in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood where Palestinians are fighting eviction orders. Overnight Friday Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa after Ramadan prayers, with some 200 Palestinians and 18 members of the Israeli occupation forces wounded.
