The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the Baptist (Al-Ahli Arab) Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Secretary-General of the League and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, denounced in a statement on Monday the brutal crimes continuously committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza without deterrence. He described the actions as a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms, stressing the urgent need for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in confronting such atrocities and activating global mechanisms to hold the perpetrators accountable.
Early Sunday morning, Israeli warplanes targeted the Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City.
The Government Media Office in Gaza reported that the airstrikes hit the emergency and reception departments of the hospital with two missiles. While the attack did not result in casualties, it rendered the hospital non-operational, destroyed the ambulance building, and caused severe damage to the reception area, laboratory, and pharmacy.
