In an article published by the Hebrew newspaper Maariv,
Israeli writer Yair Golan, an ex-general and former leftist politician stated
“The prime minister lacks a strategy to escape the abyss for which he is
responsible." Golan criticized the government's lack of a coherent policy
or military strategy beyond vague statements on
Hamas elimination, Quds Press
reported.
"In these challenging days of uncertainty and
difficulty imagining the future, Israel needs leadership that connects with its
people,"
Golan emphasized. He pointed out the plight of citizens living
without homes, isolated from their daily routines and devoid of hope for
normalcy.
During a Tel Aviv demonstration, thousands demanded the
Israeli government finalize a prisoner
exchange deal with Hamas. A speaker from
the prisoners' families criticized the unnecessary sounds of war and urged the
return of their children. The father of one prisoner used an hourglass to
symbolize the government's diminishing time.
Israeli media confirmed 102 deaths in the Israeli occupation
army since the ground aggression in Gaza began. The army acknowledged five
soldiers killed, bringing the total to 425 since the start of the conflict.
Additionally, 5,000 Israeli soldiers have been wounded, with 2,000 of them now
disabled since October 7.
