TEL AVIV — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday that complete victory in Gaza is within reach, and rejected the latest offer from Hamas for a ceasefire that includes the return of Israeli captives, who are still being held in the Gaza Strip.اضافة اعلان

Netanyahu renewed his pledge to destroy Hamas, saying that there is no alternative for Israel but to cause the collapse of Hamas. “The next day is the day after (eliminating) Hamas...all of Hamas," he said.

He added that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) had received orders to prepare for operations in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, according to the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post.

Netanyahu added that Israel is close to achieving complete victory in Gaza, which will happen in “a matter of months.”

Regarding the tension with Hezbollah, Netanyahu said that a solution must be found on the northern border of Israel, where an exchange of fire got tens of thousands of Israelis to evacuate their homes.  He added that Israel cannot tolerate the presence of about 100,000 displaced people there, and that its enemies know that a solution must be found, whether diplomatic or military.
