TEL AVIV — The negotiator in the Israeli occupation soldier Gilad Shalit deal in 2011, Gershon Baskin, has issued a warning regarding the potential consequences if Hamas and Israel fail to reach an agreement on a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange deal during Ramadan, stressing that such a failure could lead to intensified fighting, reaching as far as Rafah, and posing an imminent danger to the entire region, Khaberni reported.اضافة اعلان

Baskin highlighted, "There is a clear and imminent danger of the entire region igniting starting from East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Jordan and beyond to other countries. American soldiers are already paying the price of US support for Israel. The worldwide mobilization against Israel is getting stronger every day. Israel's military pressure in Gaza is not freeing captives- it is killing them.”

Furthermore, Baskin questioned the absence of an Israeli team from the ongoing negotiations in Cairo, suggesting that Hamas's inflexibility could be linked to Israel's absence, noting that the Israeli government's decisions may ultimately lead to the sacrifice of captives.
