The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the occupation forces and groups of settlers raised the flag on the roof and walls of the Ibrahimi Mosque, in preparation for the celebration of the so-called "Independence Day."

The director of the Hebron Endowments, Nidal Al-Jabari, said that this attack represents a flagrant violation of the sanctity of the holy sites, a violation of all international conventions and norms, and a provocation to the feelings of citizens.

Al-Jabari considered that this matter comes within the plans of the Israeli occupation aimed at Judaizing the Haram and changing its historical and cultural features.

The ministry called on UNESCO and the relevant UN organizations to break their silence, condemn these measures, and activate fact-finding committees to review the details of the operations of Judaizing these historical places and places of worship and take the necessary measures to pressure the Israeli government to stop these acts immediately.
