Following the conclusion of the third round of talks, Al-Busaidi wrote on platform X: "Negotiations will continue next week, with another high-level meeting tentatively scheduled for May 3."

He added: "The core principles, objectives, and technical concerns were discussed during today's U.S.-Iranian talks."

The third round of high-level talks between Iran and the United States over Tehran's nuclear program concluded in Oman on Saturday, according to Iranian state media, following nearly nine hours of discussions.

Iranian state television reported that "the two delegations, which have been engaged in indirect negotiations, will return to their capitals for consultations."

Coinciding with the talks, a massive explosion occurred at Shahid Rajaee Port near the city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, resulting in hundreds of injuries. The cause of the explosion remains unknown.

These meetings, mediated by Oman, follow two previous rounds of indirect negotiations — the first held on April 12 in Muscat, and the second on April 19 in Rome.

The talks are led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Whitkoff, with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi acting as the mediator between the two sides.
