According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the occupation forces deployed military reinforcements to the city and its camps, Tulkarm and Nour Shams, after midnight last night. They patrolled the streets and neighborhoods, firing live ammunition and causing explosions in the Jabal al-Nasr area in the Nour Shams camp.
The occupation forces remain stationed along the Nablus road that connects the two camps, seizing residential buildings along the road, especially the side facing the Tulkarm camp, turning them into military posts, and deploying their vehicles and bulldozers in the area. They obstruct vehicle movement, subject passengers to searches, harassment, and detention.
The occupation continues its siege on the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, preventing people from entering or leaving. Infantry units are stationed around the camps and in the alleys, continuing raids on homes, vandalizing and destroying their contents, and interrogating the residents, forcing them to leave. Live ammunition and sound bombs are used to terrorize them.
Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation forces informed several families to evacuate their homes until morning, particularly in the area behind the Schools' Neighborhood in Nour Shams camp.
The Israeli bulldozers continue demolishing homes in Nour Shams camp, in execution of orders to demolish 11 homes, under the pretext of constructing a road from the camp square toward the Al-Manshieh neighborhood. These homes belong to the families of Youssef, Jabbali, Mar’i, Abu Shalbayeh, Irani, Shahab, Yunis, and Ghannam.
In recent days, Nour Shams camp has witnessed a rise in demolitions and burning of homes and shops, carried out by the occupation forces in the Al-Manshieh, Jabal al-Nasr, and Al-Salihiyin neighborhoods. This has resulted in complete destruction of infrastructure, affecting electricity, water, sewage, and communication networks.
According to the Popular Committee of Nour Shams Camp, the number of displaced people who have been forcibly evicted has risen to nearly 9,000, out of the camp's 13,500 residents. Many of them have fled from the neighborhoods of Al-Manshieh, Jabal al-Nasr, Al-Salihiyin, Al-Maslakh, Wadi Qalansuwa, and the center of the camp, seeking refuge in shelters or the homes of relatives in the city and its suburbs.
In Tulkarm camp, eyewitnesses reported that occupation forces deployed infantry units in the camp's streets, particularly in Abu al-Foul and the airport neighborhoods, firing live rounds and causing explosions, all aimed at terrifying the remaining residents of the camp's outskirts.
Amid the ongoing siege on the camps, the residents still in their homes are enduring difficult and harsh conditions, making daily appeals for essential supplies such as food, water, medicine, and baby formula. The occupation is obstructing the work of relief teams attempting to deliver these vital supplies.
In a related incident, Israeli forces raided the Shuwaykeh neighborhood north of Tulkarm early this morning, storming several homes and arresting three citizens: Fadi Freij, his son Osayid, and Mus’ab Adnan Amer.
Earlier, a young man, Amro Ouda, was injured after an Israeli military vehicle deliberately rammed his car while driving near the Al-Murabitin Mosque in the western part of the city, causing bruises and injuries, as well as severe damage to the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital. -(WAFA)
