The two premiers emphasized the "deep-rooted, brotherly" relations, which His Majesty King Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, are keen to develop.
The duo also affirmed keenness of the Jordanian and Palestinian governments to enhance joint cooperation prospects in all economic and trade fields.
The two premiers also pointed to the need for joint action to remove obstacles on the Jordanian-Palestine bridges, which contributes to facilitating movement of people and goods, adding that volume of trade exchange still "falls shorts of ambitions and available capabilities".
Khasawneh emphasized centrality of the Palestinian cause and Jordan's support under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership for the Palestinian people and their leadership.
This support seeks to establish a Palestinian independent state with full sovereignty on the June 4, 1967 lines, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and within the framework of the two-state solution supported by the majority of the world's countries, according to Khasawneh.
