TEL AVIV – The Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, is rapidly advancing his plan to expand the occupied West Bank settlements and legitimize their colonization by enacting swift laws and decisions in favor of settlers, Al-Mamlaka TV reported. اضافة اعلان

His latest call was directed towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, urging them to:

"Create secure areas around the settlements and prevent Arabs from entering, including for harvesting."

According to Wafa news agency, Smotrich's message is an explicit call for colonization aimed at confiscating more Palestinian land for the benefit of settlements and settler outposts, within the framework of West Bank annexation.

The occupied West Bank, with approximately 12 million olive trees, has seen this year's olive harvest yield losses exceeding 50 percent due to settler attacks and actions by the Israeli army. Mahmoud Sufi, Director of the West Bank Lands Research Center, highlights that most villages in these areas were unable to harvest their olives this year.
