AMMAN — The
Palestinian leadership has decided to halt all
communications and meetings with the Israeli side, as well as to continue the
suspension of security coordination. This decision was announced in a statement
following an emergency meeting held by the Palestinian leadership, chaired by
President Mahmoud Abbas, at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah on
Monday, to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against the city of Jenin and
its camp.

According to. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of
Information,
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the leadership has called for an emergency
meeting of the secretaries-general to agree on a comprehensive national vision
and unify efforts to confront and counter Israeli aggression, Amad reported.
The right of Palestinian people to defend themselves
The leadership affirmed the right of the Palestinian people
to defend themselves, emphasizing that it is the duty of the authority and its
various institutions to protect the Palestinian people and utilize all
resources for this purpose. Everyone is urged to assume their responsibilities
in this regard, while adhering to international legitimacy and international
law.
Abu Rudeineh stated, "In light of Israel's non-compliance
with the agreements reached in
Aqaba and Sharm El-Sheikh, the leadership
declares that these agreements are no longer effective and valid."
The leadership also decided to immediately approach the
United Nations Security Council to implement Resolution 2334 and the
international protection resolution for the Palestinian people.
They called for an end to unilateral measures and the
imposition of sanctions on the occupying state, as well as urging the
International
Criminal Court to expedite the handling of the cases referred to
it.
In an official statement, he called to the international
community’s failure to deter Israel and provide protection to the Palestinian
people. He also highlighted the Israeli authorities continued violations, from
Al-Aqsa Mosque to Jenin in accelerating settlement which implements and leads
to racial discrimination, economic oppression, and its disregard for its
commitments under the signed agreements, as well as international law.
