“The body of a man has been found on Bar Kochba
Street in Tel Aviv,” police said in a statement
The body was found hanged at the corner of Bar
Kochba and Dizengoff Streets, a busy nightlife and shopping district, by a
passerby who notified the police, the officer in charge of the area said.
Israeli media quoted police as saying his death was
an apparent suicide.
Sarsour, from the town of Qalqilya in the occupied
West Bank, had entered Israel with a valid permit to work on a building site in
Holon.
Israeli police claim the man was a murder suspect.
Overnight, Israeli occupation forces said they had
arrested 11 Palestinians in raids across the West Bank, five of whom Israel
accuses of “assisting” Sarsour.
The northern West Bank has suffered violent and
deadly raids by Israeli occupation forces on a near daily basis in recent
months.
Last week, two Palestinians were killed by Israeli
occupation forces near Jenin.
According to the
Palestinian health ministry, a total of 149
Palestinians have been killed since the start of 2022, including 34 from Jenin,
the Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported.
