Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations,
Vassily Nebenzia, has stated that “Israel has no right to self-defense in the current
conflict” because it is an occupying state, Quds Press reported.

Nebenzia
made these remarks during an extraordinary emergency session of the United
Nations General Assembly on the
Palestinian issue, held on Wednesday evening.
He emphasized that the United Nations has no authority to grant Israel an
absolute mandate for a ground operation in Gaza.
An end to bloodshed
He
called for an end to bloodshed in the Middle East, seeking to prevent the
crisis from spreading throughout the entire region, advocating for a diplomatic
solution.

he pointed out, "
The Russian Federation cannot turn a blind eye to the
blatant violations of international humanitarian law committed by Israel in the
Gaza Strip," emphasizing that "entire neighborhoods have been razed
to the ground."
