Following his meeting with Tunisian President Kais Saied, Lavrov stated, "Russia, Tunis, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in general, aim to continuously and sustainably create conditions for implementing the establishment of the Palestinian state. However, we have the impression that our Western colleagues are never ready to strive for that."

Lavrov emphasized that the United States "hinders even the simple resolution currently being discussed in the Security Council, to stop the ceasefire and provide humanitarian aid, and this is not the first time." He said, "They are trying to drown the issue of establishing the Palestinian state in various questionable initiatives, holding conference after conference based on values that deviate from Security Council resolutions."

Both Tunisian and Russian parties agreed on the urgent need to halt violence and address the "extremely deteriorating" humanitarian situation in Gaza. Lavrov added, "In the long run, and to prevent the possibility of repeating such crises, it is necessary to definitively resolve the issue of the Palestinian state."
